Kisah dari Gaza, Palestine

al-Bakri fil Muar
28 Feb, 2009

Salam, Semalam Razali Awang, pemberita TV3 yg pergi ke Gaza baru-baru ni, datang ke "my company to share his experience" . Persatuan Islam Pekerja yg anjurkan.

Sempadan Gaza and Mesir is 14 km long.

Berapa banyak "checkpoint" dia kena lalui kat Mesir...tapi dgn pertolongan Allah SWT lepas pulak..tapi peritnya.. yang mintak rasuah... charge naik bas 500 meter is RM70!!!

Memang sekutu kuat Amerika and Israel.

(Eee...tak ingin hantar anak gi Al Azhar..lebih baik hantar ke negara Islam lain..UIA pun dah bagus!!!)

Gaza (Palestine)
Terbahagi kepada 2 - Hamas dan Fatah...Belah Fatah ada kasino!
Kata wartawan dari Belgium dan Itali, the best strawberry in the world comes from Gaza!

Orang Palestine sangat baik dan "friendly as compared to other Arabs especially" yang kat Mesir tu..

Moyang Rasulullah SAW dikebumikan dia sini (lupa nama ..tapi dia mention Hashim....)

Beautiful country, iklim Mediterranean ..boleh kalahkan Los Angeles kalau tak kerana peperangan..

Hamas
Memang kalangan yg rela mati sebab mati syahid.

.....like they know they can die anytime.

Tulang2 yg melekat kat dinding bangungan rosak, tak busuk walau dah berminggu!
Mayat tak reput langsung, bila kubur dibedil oleh Israel...punyalah jahat manusia, kubur pun nak bedil konon tempat simpan senjata.

Hamas ni beroperasi di bawah tanah "and they are everywhere. They operate in small groups. "

Menurut seorang ibu yg anak nya mati syahid, hari ni sorang mati, esok lahir lagi seorang bayi..

Israel
Memang pengecut sebab tak berani perang "one to one" dengan Hamas.

So, depa takut nak turun dari kereta kebal.

Semua resolusi PBB, satu pun Israel tak ikut!!! Ada back-up besar lah katakannn...

Rakyat Palestine
Sedih Razali tengok dia org rebus rumput sebab dah tak de makanan.

Ada la nampak serpihan tulang sikit2 here and there...Fosforus ni dia hancurkan kulit dan tulang...Nauzubilla h.

Ada banyak lagi.."but too long to write". Razali Awang memang volunteer nak pergi ke Gaza (agaknya sebab dia ni pun bujang lagi..hehe). ..So, inilah yg diceritakan oleh beliau.

Jadi Razali kata kalau kita shopping kat sana mcm kita sokong Israel.

So friends, kita terus doa dan berdoa utk keselamatan saudara Islam kita di mana jua mereka berada..

Wasalam.

Kapal bantuan Iran diperhatikan...

Egypt keeping Iran aid ship from Gaza-Israel tells Iran aid ship for Gaza to leave:.
1-22-09 Posted on 23 Januari 2009 2:55:22 by SJackson

Kapal bantuan kemanusiaan masih belum mendapat kebenaran berlabuh di pelabuhan Al-Areesh, Mesir.
An Iranian aid ship bound for Gaza has not yet received permission to dock at the Egyptian port of Al-Areesh, 50km off the coastal strip.
Pengarah Bulan Sabit Merah Ahmad Navvab berkata pada hari Rabu, walaupun pihak berkuasa Mesir memberi permit untuk melalui Pelabuhan Al-Areesh tetapi setakat ini belum dibenarkan berlabuh.
Ahmad Navvab, a provincial Red Crescent director, said Wednesday that although Egyptian authorities issued permits for the aid's dispatch via the Al-Areesh port, they have so far prevented the ship to drop anchor.
"Their pretext is that the port is at full capacity and lacks necessary space for another ship," said Navvab, adding that Egyptian authorities issued permits only after coming under international pressure.
Navvab said the vessel, holding an estimated 2,000 tons of medical and food supplies for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, is currently anchored some 15 miles off the coast of Gaza.
This comes after the Israeli military intercepted an Iranian ship on January 14, even though it left the Egyptian port of Said with the paperwork required to dock.

Egypt, the only state which shares border with the Gaza Strip, has been coordinating all activity with Israel regarding the Iranian vessel.

Tel Aviv's three week-long offensive on Gaza had paralyzed relief efforts for the besieged Palestinians, after repeatedly blocking stockpiles of food, fuel and medicine bound for the strip.

The United Nations, worried about the deepening humanitarian impact of the war, says there is an urgent need for emergency shipment.

According to relief workers, the humanitarian situation in the impoverished strip is at its worst with over 1.1 million people - about 80 percent of the residents of Gaza - dependent on food aid.

Israel later revealed that Operation Cast Lead, launched on December 27, was aimed at toppling the democratically-elected Hamas government.
At least 1,340 Gazans were killed and at least 5,320 others were hospitalized as a result of the onslaught.
An estimated 60,800 people are left homeless and more than 100,000 people remain displaced in the costal sliver. Running water and electricity are reportedly available less than 12 hours a day.
"Semua penduduk telah menghilangkan diri," lapor BBC
"Entire neighborhoods have disappeared," the BBC reported.

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics has reported that more than 4,100 homes have been reduced to rubble and 17,000 others damaged.

"About 1,500 factories and workshops, 20 fffmosques, 31 security installations and 10 water or sewage pipes were also damaged," it added.

Harakahdaily Fri Jan 23, 09 3:07:09 pm MYT

-azm

UN chief visits Gaza, urges probe

Ban said he was 'appalled' after witnessing the aftermath of the attack on the UN complex [EPA]
Ban Ki-moon, the secretary-general of the United Nations, has demanded a "full investigation" into Israel's bombing of a UN compound in Gaza City.

Speaking during an official visit to the Palestinian enclave on Tuesday, he condemned the attack on the UN complex as "outrageous" and "totally unacceptable".

"It is particularly significant for a secretary-general of the UN to stand in front of this bomb site of the UN compound," he said."I am just appalled and not able to describe how I am feeling having seen this ... it's an outrageous and totally unacceptable attack against the UN. I have protested many times, and I protest again in the strongest terms."

Ban called for a "full investigation" into the incident to make those responsible for the attack "accountable".

He also announced he was sending a high-level delegation to oversee humanitarian support for Gazans and assist with the rebuilding effort following Israel's three-week offensive.

Ban is the highest-ranking official to visit Gaza since Israel and Hamas declared separate, unilateral ceasefires on Sunday.

'Shocking' devastation
Ban stressed "the UN and the international community will support and help you [Gazans] to overcome" the devastation, which he described as "shocking and alarming".

While Ban reiterated his condemnation of Israel's "excessive use of force", he was careful to underline that he believes rocket attacks on Israel by Gazan fighters are also "unacceptable".

Unearthing Gaza's destruction
Israel's scorched earth tactics

Israel had said the aim of its operations in Gaza was to cripple Hamas's ability to launch rockets into the south of the country.

Ban urged Palestinians factions to unite to allow the international community, including the UN, to help broker a lasting peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.

However, while offering to do "all [he] can as secretary-general of the UN to help in this time of need", Ban is not expected to meet Hamas officials during this visit.

Ayman Mohyeldin, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Gaza, said because much of the international community, including the US and the European Union, regard Hamas as a "terrorist organisation", it would be political difficult for the UN chief to hold direct talks with Hamas officials.
Hamas won parliamentary elections in 2006 which were internationally recognised as being both fair and free.
Rebuilding Gaza's devastated infrastructure is expected to cost billions of US dollars.
Without supplies
John Holmes, the UN humanitarian chief, says hundreds of millions of dollars in emergency aid supplies will be needed for the people of Gaza.
Although water supplies were restored to many Gazan homes as of Sunday, 400,000 were still without running water, Holmes said.
GAZA TOLL
At least 1,300 people killed, including more than 400 children and more than 100 women
At least 5,300 Palestinians injured, including nearly 1,900 children and 800 women At least 100,000 people forced from their homes At least 13 Israelis killed, including three civilians
Electricity in Gaza is available for less than half the day and around 100,000 people have been left homeless by the war.
Scores of bodies have been discovered in the rubble of destroyed buildings since both sides declared unilateral ceasefires on Sunday.
Palestinians returning to their neighbourhoods have begun to unearth the true scale of destruction.
Mohyeldin reported that the World Health Organisation had issued a warning of an outbreak of disease as weeks-old bodies remain unburied and sewage continues to flow in many areas because of the destruction of Gaza's infrastructure.
The deposed Hamas-led government in Gaza estimates that more than 5,000 buildings were completely destroyed and another 20,000 damaged or partially destroyed in the fighting.
Despite the three-week Israeli onslaught that killed more than 1,300 Palestinians and destroyed thousands of buildings, Hamas and other Palestinian factions have claimed victory in the fighting.
Following his visit to Gaza, the UN chief also visited the southern Israeli town of Sderot - one of the main targets for Palestinian rocket-launching squads based in Gaza.
Ban said he was "totally committed to Israel securing its rightful place as a nation within secure and recognised borders" and called for the current ceasefires to be turned into a durable truce "respected fully by all parties concerned".

Boikot harus diteruskan sehingga negara Palestin merdeka diwujudkan

Al Bakri fil Muar
18 Jan 2009

Shoot Then Ask, Israeli Soldiers Told

CAIRO — Israeli occupation forces returning for a break from the fighting in the Gaza Strip are revealing ruthless tactics they are being ordered to follow. "We are treating everything as hostile right now," Alon, an army lieutenant, told the Times on Wednesday, 14 January.
When his unit ventures into any alleyway in the densely-populated Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza, they opened fire without hesitation.
"We were told not to take chances — to shoot rather than ask questions," says Alon, citing his orders.
Since the start of Israel's onslaught, over 1,013 people, nearly half of them civilians, have been killed in countless aerial bombardments and 10 days of heavy fighting.
No less than 315 children and 100 women are among the dead, according to Gaza medics.
Around 4,700 people have been wounded, hundreds critically, in Israel's largest-ever offensive in the heavily-populated coastal territory.
With the borders sealed, there was no place of safety for civilians to flee the fighting, meaning they were forced to live in fear and terror.
Nine Israeli rights groups stressed Wednesday that the Gaza offensive has caused unprecedented suffering to civilian residents who are being subjected to "extreme humanitarian distress."
"The level of harm to the civilian population is unprecedented," they wrote in a joint open letter to Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
They accused the army of "making wanton use of lethal force which has to date caused the deaths of hundreds of uninvolved civilians."
"This kind of fighting constitutes a blatant violation of the laws of warfare and raises the suspicion... of the commission of war crimes."
Destruction
Lieutenant-Colonel Yehuda said it was standard practice for Israeli troops to enter buildings with bursts of shooting.
"In one case the building started burning but we managed to clear out our men in time."
Even the Israeli soldiers are shocked by the scale of destruction they are leaving behind.
"It doesn’t look like we’ve been there a few weeks — it looks destroyed, demolished, like we were bombing it for years," said Alon.
"You can’t imagine what damage we have done."
Hundreds of homes, government buildings, schools, hospitals and mosques have been razed to the ground in air, sea and ground attacks.
"I’m not a newcomer in the army. Both my brothers served in combat units that saw action in Gaza," Alon told the Times.
"And I can say that this is the most aggressive line that we have ever taken towards fighting the Palestinians.
"As you say in English, the gloves were off."
White Phosphorus
Israeli soldiers confirmed what their army is vehemently denying; using white phosphor shells in bombing Gaza targets.
"We’ve been using it responsibly…it’s been around the whole time," one soldier told the Times.
The Israeli army on Monday insisted all weapons being used in its Gaza war were within the bounds of international law.
Medics in Gaza say they have treated more than 50 people suffering burns caused by controversial white phosphorus shells, a toxic chemical agent which burns away human flesh to the bone.
Early this week, Human Rights Watch accused Israel of using white-phosphorus in bombing the densely-populated Gaza Strip.
Under international law, white phosphorus is banned for use against civilians, but is permitted if used for creating a smokescreen.
Two Norwegians who returned from Gaza on Monday, January 12, also accused Israel of using Gaza as a testing ground for a new extremely nasty type of explosive.
They had seen clear signs, including very brutal amputations without shrapnel injuries, that DIME explosives, a new experimental kind of weapon, were being used in Gaza.

Ismail Haniyeh open letter to the world.

CAIRO — Ismail Haniyeh, the sacked premier of the Palestinian national unity government and the de facto premier of Gaza, insists that Israel's onslaught against the heavily-populated territory is politically-motivated. "Despite its frantic efforts to conceal it, the root cause of Israel's criminal war on Gaza is the elections of January 2006, which saw Hamas win by a substantial majority," Haniyeh wrote in an open letter addressed to the people of the West and published in The Independent on Thursday, January 15.

"What occurred next was that Israel alongside the US and the European Union joined forces in an attempt to quash the democratic will of the Palestinian people," he stressed.

"They set about reversing the decision first by obstructing the formation of a national unity government and then by making a living hell for the Palestinian people through economic strangulation.

"The abject failure of all these machinations finally led to this vicious war."
He refuted Israeli claims that the military offensive aims at ending rocket attacks.
"Palestinians are appalled that the members of the European Union do not view this obscene siege as a form of aggression.

"Despite the overwhelming evidence, they shamelessly assert that Hamas brought this catastrophe upon the Palestinian people because it did not renew the truce," said Haniyeh.
"Yet we ask, did Israel honor the terms of the ceasefire mediated by Egypt in June? It did not. The agreement stipulated a lifting of the siege and an end to attacks in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

"Despite our full compliance, the Israelis persisted in murdering Palestinians in Gaza as well as the West Bank during what became known as the year of the Annapolis peace."
Haniyeh criticized world silence to the killing of more than 1030 Palestinians, half of them women and children, in 20 days and Israel's use of banned weapons.

"How many more international treaties and conventions must Zionist Israel breach before it is held accountable?

There is not a capital in the world today where free and decent people are not outraged by this brutal oppression. Neither Palestine nor the world would be the same after these crimes."

Lagu untuk Gaza

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN (Song for Gaza)
(Composed by Michael Heart)
Copyright 2009

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze
We will not go down

In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down

In Gaza tonight Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who’s wrong or right
But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze
We will not go down

In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down In Gaza tonight.

Rafah Kids

Rafah Kids blog

The little stripe at the bottom of Gaza, Palestine that everyone forgets.

Location: Rafah, Gaza Strip, Palestine

The US House of Representatives has voted to endorse a resolution backing Israel in its offensive in Gaza, in which at least 780 Palestinians have been killed. The body passed Friday's resolution "recognising Israel's right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza"WTF?
Is anyone else looking at this and thinking the world has gone mad?Ok...so here is the deal. The current invasion has nothing to do with Israel's right to defend itself from Hamas. The Occupation of Palestine pre dates Hamas as an organisation. This problem was here BEFORE HAMAS EXISTED.The problem is that for Israel to remain Jewish this cannot be one country (we'd be happy for that but Israel has to be majority Jewish so no can do).

So...why not two countries (oh, yeah, did I menion we are not a sovereign nation just a collection of refugees awaiting a final outcome (I would have said final solution but that's bad taste). And here is the rub. For Israel to survive with or without the massive US backing it needs to continue its exports and businesses which are almost TOTALY reliant on resources found in the West Bank (and apparently some here like gas).

That's right....they got most of the land but we got all of the resources. So...for them to survive we can't. And they bigger and badder so it does not look so good.I accept that. In battle there is winner and loser....but please just tell the truth. You destroy us because you need to in order to survive. Tell the world that and stop hiding behind the lies and portraying yourselves as the victims.

Historically yes and we cry for your past but really...now....you are the destroyers....so afraid are you of being wiped out you ignore your pain and inflict suffering on us to survive.65 year of this shit is enough please so you might as well kill us all. The world will believe your lies that you just wiped out a 'den of terrorists' not a prison full of families but beware....history may judge you differently and the world anger may make your fears a self fulflling prophecy.Masalaam.

Israeli Navy attacks and wounds Dignity in International Waters

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date : 12-30-2008
For more information, please contact: (Gaza) Ewa Jasiewicz, +972 598 700 497 / freelance@mailworks.org
(Cyprus) Lubna Masarwa +357 99 081 767 / lubnna@gmail.com
(U.S.) Greta Berlin, +1 310 422 7242 / iristulip@gmail.com
(Larnaca, Cyprus, 10:00 am) On Tuesday, December 30, at 5 a.m., several Israeli gunboats intercepted the Dignity as she was heading on a mission of mercy to Gaza. One gunboat rammed into the boat on the port bow side, heavily damaging her. The reports from the passengers and journalists on board is that she is taking on water and appears to have engine problems. When attacked, the Dignity was clearly in international waters, 90 miles off the coast of Gaza.
The gunboats also fired their machine guns into the water in an attempt to stop the mercy ship from getting to Gaza.
As the boat limps toward Lebanon, passengers have been in contact with the Lebanese government who have said the captain has permission to dock and are willing lend assistance if needed. Cyprus sea rescue has also been in touch, and has offered assistance as well. The Dignity clearly flies the flag of Gibraltar, is piloted by an English captain and has a passenger manifest that includes Representative Cynthia McKinney from the U.S. The attack was filmed by the journalists, and the crew and passengers will report on Israel's crime at sea once they arrive in Lebanon.
On board the boat are doctors traveling to this impoverished slice of the Mediterranean to provide badly-needed relief at the hospitals there. The crew and passengers were also hoping to take wounded out for treatment, since the hospitals are not coping. In addition, the Dignity was carrying 3 tons of medical supplies at the request of the doctors in Gaza.
The three physicans on board who were sailing to Gaza are: Dr. Halpin (UK), an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, medical professor, and ship's captain. He has organized humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza on several occasions with the Dove and Dolphin. He is traveling to Gaza to volunteer in hospitals and clinics. Dr. Mohamed Issa (Germany), a pediatric surgeon from Germany is traveling to Gaza to volunteer in hospitals and clinics. Dr. Elena Theoharous (Cyprus), MP Dr. Theoharous is a surgeon and a Member of the Cypriot Parliament. She is traveling to Gaza to assess the ongoing conflict, assist with humanitarian relief efforts, and volunteer in hospitals.

Yet Israel thumbs its nose in the face of maritime law by attacking a human rights boat in international waters and has put all of these human rights observers at risk. At no time was the Dignity ever close to Israeli waters. They clearly identified themselves and the Israeli attack was willful and criminal.

The Dignity is still in international waters, 40 miles off Haifa. Everybody on board is safe at the moment as the boat slowly makes its way to safety in Lebanon.
